It is a big new house, with new furniture in the old quarter of Jimena de la Frontera (Cádiz) with 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, large living room, grand piano “Gerard Adam”, dining room, kitchen, swimming pool, terrace with superb views, garage for 2 cars and bycicles. The apartment has separate entrance, with big room, kitchen, dining-room, living-room, bathroom, very quiet street, next to the ancient Roman and Moorish Castle Jimena de la Frontera is one of the white hill towns on the Ronda – Algeciras road. The Mediterranean is a 25 minute drive and the Atlantic is 3/4 of an hour. San Roque, Valderama and SotoGrande golf courses are only 20 minutes. It is ideally situated between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic. Jimena has a train station that goes to Ronda, Granada and beyond. From Algeciras one can visit Morocco, which is 2 hours by boat or 45 minutes on the hydrofoil from Tarifa.. Jimena has an abundance of shops, restaurants, bars, banks, chemist and a hospital with A&E. Jimena de la Frontera is a paradise for bird watching, polo, archaeological sites, wining and dining, and its international music festiva held in July of each year. There are many hobby centers, ie. pottery, yoga, painting, etc. lessons. For those who wish to take a short crash course in Spanish, teachers are available The village is situated on the edge of the Alcornocales National Park and there are many beautiful walks of various difficulties that can be taken from or nearby to the house. More details can be provided on request. Coast/Beach The beaches of the Costa del Sol are only a half an hours drive away. There are a range of different beaches there, sandy with child safe bays to stony with rock pools. We are familiar with them all, so again, just ask for advice. The Atlantic beaches of the Costa de la Luz with all the water sports facilities are within an hours drive. Golf There are many golf courses located on the nearby 'Costa del Golf', the nearest being Almenara, only 20 minutes away. All have a range of facilities. Travel Gibraltar Airport 40 minutes. Malaga Airport 1 hour 30 minutes. Jerez Airport 1 hour 20 minutes. Car hire is recommended to get the most out of your holiday. There are some buses from Gibraltar and there is a station 20 minutes walk from the property with trains to Algeciras, Ronda and Granada. Distances Gibraltar 40 minutes drive. The historic town of Ronda 1 hour 30 min drive or 1 hour on a train with stunning views through the mountains. Tarifa, with it's beautiful historic squares, surfing beaches and ferries to Morroco is a 1 hour drive away. Algeciras water park, 35 minutes away. Marbella and Puerto Banus, is 1 hours drive away. The historic city of Jerez, home of flamenco and sherry, is just over an hour drive. Sevilla is 2 hour 30 mins drive away. Distances Ronda: 1 hr drive. Marbella (Costa del Sol): 1 hr drive.
